Mark your calendar for the 5th grade SOAR UP ceremony on Wednesday, June 12 from 6:30 – 8 pm – Please note the corrected date!

Class Lists and Step-up Day

This year Mt. View will be posting 2019-20 class lists early (late afternoon on June 14) and conducting a “Step-Up Day” (Monday, June 17) where students will be able to meet with their 2019-2020 classmates and teacher for a short time. Details will be coming home with your student early next week.

End-of-the-year Mountain View Block Party

Fun for the whole family! Friday, June 14 starting at 5 pm

Please join the Mountain View staff as we celebrate the end of a fantastic school year. You can even meet your child’s new teacher for the upcoming school year!

Enjoy a free dinner – hot dogs, veggie dogs, chips, watermelon, & lemonade. Entertainment includes games, activities, music, and more! Watch Lego Movie 2 at dusk. Bring a blanket or lawn chair.

Mt. View Post Office

It’s almost time for the annual Mt. View Post Office! Students have the opportunity, during the week of June 10-14, to write letters to any other student or staff member at Mt. View. Get excited for a fun, authentic way for our students to practice writing as we wrap up the year!

Field Day is Coming!

Field Day will be Monday, June 17 from 1 – 2:30 pm.

WE NEED YOU to make it a success! The kids love field day and look forward to it all year. Before you sign up, please fill out this Volunteer Application. This is required for all school volunteers to help keep our kids safe. Once you are approved to volunteer, click HERE to sign up.  There are many games to choose from, and this year they are all open to all the grades.

End of School Reminders

Meal Accounts

Students need to have enough money in their meal accounts to cover meals/milks purchased. Any funds remaining in meal accounts at year end will carry over to the next school year. Any balance due should be paid by June 18.

If you qualify for free meal prices, and your child purchases milk ala-carte, there will be a $.50 charge to their account. If you need assistance, let the office know.

Medication

All medication that we have for your child needs to be picked up no later than June 18th. Any medication that is left, will be disposed of according to district policy.

Library Books

Please return any school library books that are checked out to your student. If you can’t find your overdue book(s), you can get the replacement cost from Nancy P. in the library.

Summer Reading Program in the Lancaster Bridge Community

Mt. View received a grant from the Corvallis School Foundation for a Summer Reading Program at the Lancaster Bridge Club House. Adults will read to children and help them select books to take home. Come join us during the noon hour, Tuesday’s and Thursday’s throughout the summer.

We are excited to offer this activity for our families living in the Lancaster Bridge community. Other activities Monday – Friday at the Lancaster Club House include: Corvallis School District Summer lunch program from 12-12:30 pm and Willamette Housing’s Summer Lunch Club, activities for children, from 12:30-2 pm. Please join us at the Club House!
