Let's Talk About Student Success!

The Student Success Act marks a turning point for education in Oregon. When fully implemented, our state will see an additional $1 billion investment in schools each year. This investment will provide new opportunities for every student in our state, particularly students who have been historically underserved. You have an important role to play. We need your input to help develop a plan to best meet the needs of our students and our community.

Ready, Set,... RUN!!!

Mt. View “Superhero” Jog-a-thon starts Monday October 7! Students have the opportunity to run all week long, ending with the Glow Run on Friday night at 5pm just before our first Family Movie Night of the year.

  • The pledge site is officially up and going at
  • You can share your student’s page with friends, family and neighbors. This is one of Mt. View’s biggest fundraisers, and our goal this year is $8000. If we can reach our goal, Mr. Bethards will dress up in costume to celebrate!
  • Prizes are awarded to the student that earns the most donations, the class that raises the most funds and every student that raises $100 or more gets to choose from the prize table. Bragging rights are given to the students that run the most laps in PE, and their name is posted in the gym all year.

This is such a fun event – for kids, parents and Mt. View staff! Look for more instructions coming home with your student. See you Monday morning at 7:15am for the before-school run!  Questions? Contact Stacy Mosbrucker at

Health Screening Volunteers Needed

We will have our all school health screening on Friday, October 18.  If you would be able to volunteer, please sign up at the following link:

Flu Shot Clinic

Mt. View will host a flu clinic that is open to adults on October 11 from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm.  The Circle Blvd Safeway store is providing the vaccinations and will donate $1.00 to the Corvallis Homeless Education Program for each one given. Insurance cards, checks and credit cards will be accepted for your convenience. Mt. View students will not be receiving flu shots unless they are accompanied by their parent or guardian.

Meal Accounts

The Corvallis School District is using Titan School Solutions this year.  You can check your child’s meal account balance, apply for or check the status of free/reduced status meals, and make payments to meal accounts.  Sign up at

If you need your child’s student ID number (the number that was used to register your child), please contact the office.

Over the Counter Medication

Just a reminder that any over the counter medication (including cough drops) needs to be brought to the office by an adult, in the original packaging and the appropriate paperwork completed before office staff can dispense any medication.  Chapstick can be kept in your child’s backpack to use as needed throughout the day.

Bus Registration

If your child will be taking the bus to or from school it is important that you complete the online registration form.

Please contact STA at 541-275-1079 if you have questions or concerns.
