Packets will be sent home with more information on how to participate in the event!

Transition to Middle School

There will be an informational session on February 20 from 5-6 pm at Cheldelin Middle School on how to best support your student as they navigate the transition from elementary to middle school. The session is open to all families but particularly those whose students have an IEP or 504.

Safety & Health Information

When Should I Keep My Child Home From School?

The staff would like to thank our Mt. View families for keeping children who are not feeling well at home, and for arriving quickly when we need to call for children to be picked up.  It helps to keep everyone as healthy as possible.

To report an absence or late arrival to school, messages can be left on our attendance line – 541-766-4761.

Medication Reminders

Any medication (including cough drops) that is necessary for your child during the school day must be brought to and from school by the parent/guardian. All medication must have a current Permission to Administer Medication form on file and be dispensed by trained office personnel. Chapstick may be kept in your child’s backpack to help with dry, chapped lips.

Afterschool Plans and Messages to Students

At the beginning of the school year, families gave us their child’s afterschool plans. If you have had changes, please let the office know so we can update the form.

  • If you are picking up your child, please remember that all students should be picked up by 2:50 pm (1:50 pm on Fridays)
  • For occasional afterschool changes, please call the office by 2:00 pm (1:00 pm on Fridays) so that we have time to get the note to the classroom.
