Reminders From The Office
If your child is going to be late or absent for the day, please call our attendance line at 541-766-4761. Messages can be left 24/7.
Student supervision is not available before 7:30 am, so students should not arrive to school before that time.
Student Absence Due to Illness
Thank you for picking up your children promptly when they are not feeling well and keeping them home until completely symptom free. To help you make the decision to send or not send your child to school, the following guidelines will help:
Information about norovirus was shared with staff and families last month. This illness is highly contagious. Anyone with symptoms should be kept home for 48 hours after the last episode of vomiting and diarrhea to prevent the spread of this illness.
Norovirus symptoms may include vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, low-grade fever, abdominal cramps, malaise, and chills. There is no specific treatment for norovirus infection. Because many patients have both vomiting and diarrhea, precautions should be taken to avoid dehydration, especially in the very young and very old.
Boundary Review Open House
Parents, students, school neighbors, and community members are invited to attend a Boundary Review Open House on January 21 from 6-8 pm at Cheldelin Middle School to share feedback on possible school attendance area boundary adjustments developed by the Boundary Review Task Force.
The task force was convened in December with the charge of balancing school enrollments across the district to avoid overcrowding, specifically at the middle schools. The committee includes representatives from all school boundary areas and staff liaisons.
Questions may be directed to Assistant Superintendent Melissa Harder at 541-766-4857.
Mark your calendar for our annual giving tree the week of February 10th-14th. This is an opportunity to give back to the teachers of Mt. View, and help provide needed equipment and supplies for the classroom. More information to come!
Community Flyers are now shared on the Corvallis School District website! Learn about programs, sports, and opportunities in our community. Click the button below to view current flyers.
